30-Day Return Window
You have 30 calendar days from the official freight carrier delivery date to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).
100% Free Damaged/Defect Returns
Zero return fees or return shipping charges on any engine that arrives damaged in transit, defective, or incorrect. Immediate replacement or 100% refund.
Fast 5–7 Day Refunds
Refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days following inspection at our Cookeville, TN facility.
1. Eligibility & Product Condition
To qualify for a standard return, outboard motors must be in brand-new, uninstalled, and un-run condition:
- The engine must remain in its original factory OEM crate or heavy-duty packaging with all internal protective framing intact.
- The motor must never have had fuel or oil added or been fired/started. Once fuel has been introduced to an engine, hazardous material shipping regulations apply and the motor falls under manufacturer factory warranty coverage.
- All original included accessories must be returned, including owner manuals, tool kits, safety lanyards, fuel tanks/lines (where applicable), spare spark plugs, and propeller hardware.
2. Step-by-Step Return Process (RMA)
Returning a freight-shipped outboard motor is coordinated by our Cookeville logistics desk:

Secure OEM Packaging
Ensure the engine is firmly re-secured inside its factory steel/wooden crate with all original manuals and accessories inside.
Coordinated LTL Freight
We schedule an LTL freight carrier with a hydraulic liftgate to pick up the crated outboard directly from your residence or commercial dock.
Prompt Reimbursement
Upon delivery at our Cookeville terminal and serial verification, your refund is processed within 5 to 7 business days.
3. Damaged in Transit or Defective Items
Every crated outboard is fully insured during freight transit. In the rare event your crate shows external puncture or damage upon arrival, please note "Damaged on Arrival" on the delivery receipt and contact us within 48 hours. We will arrange immediate pickup and dispatch a brand-new replacement motor at zero extra cost to you, or issue a 100% refund.
4. Return Shipping Fees & Restocking Terms
- Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Item: 100% free return shipping. No restocking fees or handling charges apply.
- Customer Preference / Remorse Returns: For elective returns (e.g. ordered incorrect shaft length or changed mind), return freight costs apply or can be deducted from the refund at our negotiated commercial carrier rates. Outboard motors must be returned within 30 days in original unopened crating.
- Order Cancellations Prior to Dispatch: If you cancel your order before the crate leaves our Cookeville terminal, you will receive a 100% immediate full refund with zero fees.

If your engine has already been fueled, run, or installed and experiences a mechanical issue, it is covered under the complete factory warranty (3 to 5 years depending on brand). Warranty service can be performed at any authorized dealer nationwide:
